The Franchising Department is a valuable resource for those who have made the decision to change their life by buying a franchised business opportunity.  Our Franchise-Link program helps you identify the right business opportunity to fit with your career objectives and lifestyle, and makes the process as easy as possible with no cost to you.

Through national and international associations, The Franchising Department has developed relationships with franchisors representing opportunities of all size, description and investment level.  We do not sell franchises through our Franchise-Link program and there is never any pressure to buy.

Our goal is to introduce qualified candidates to the best business opportunities to meet their needs and the needs of our franchisor clients.  We guide our prospective franchise buyers through a proven process until they find what they believe is the ideal fit.  Our service is free to our candidates as our fees are paid by the franchisor clients we represent.

How We Help - Our Process

  • Through an initial telephone conversation and a series of Questionnaires, we help you determine if business ownership is right for you.
  • Our Franchise Selection Questionnaires provides information to help us understand your preferences, objectives, lifestyle and financial goals to assist with selecting the best opportunities for you.
  • Completing our Confidential Questionnaire provides information concerning your work history, education and financial situation.   Like a resume, this background information helps us identify suitable franchisors for you and our clients to qualify you for their opportunities.
  • Based on the information you provide, a “Candidate Profile” is developed, discussed with you and a course of action is determined.  If we mutually decide to continue the search for a franchise opportunity, you complete an online personality assessment to complete your Candidate Profile.
  • We compare your Candidate Profile to the selection criteria provided by our franchisor clients to determine which franchises are worthy of further investigation.
  • We provide you with a “Franchisor Profile” of the selected companies and the franchise sales package of the one that is of the most interest to you.
  • We submit your profile to the selected Franchisor and they decide whether or not to accept you as a franchisee Candidate.  Once you are accepted, we introduce you to their franchising executives and facilitate the relationship until you decide if this is the right opportunity for you.
  • Once accepted as a Candidate by the Franchisor, we will assist you through their sales process that is typically a five step process (shown below) taking 4 to 5 weeks to complete.
